Andy Housam
 

PROJECT MANAGER

Andy is an experienced primary school teacher. He was Assistant Director for Lincoln Youth for Christ and Church Community Worker for Lincoln Christian Fellowship. These positions formed the spring board for Andy to begin The Joy Foundation. He has now been working in Lincoln schools for over  25 years and has led countless assemblies, lessons and clubs. Andy is married to another Helen and has two grown up sons. A keen local sportsman and is always ready for a chat about cricket.

Helen Pennington
 

SCHOOLS WORKER

Helen has 14 years teaching experience and specialises in teaching RE. She is married to Dave and they have two young and brilliant children. They attend Alive Church Lincoln where Helen is part of the Alive Kids Core Team and sings on the worship team. She is passionate about being able to introduce children to the love of God and believes that excellent teaching begins with a positive relationship with children.

Elaine Eagle

 

ADMINISTRATOR

As well as looking after the day to day administration within the organisation Elaine is also a member of our volunteering team who go into schools to help deliver some of the Joy Foundation activities such as BibleLincs.

Canon Nick Buck
 

CHAIR OF TRUSTEES

Nick is currently the vicar of St Giles, Lincoln, in the north of the city. He arrived in the county in 2001 when he became Rector of a group of churches around Bassingham. It was there that he first came into contact with the Joy Foundation and was delighted to see its work in a local school. He was appointed a trustee (and chair of trustees) in late 2016.

Nick is married to Sally and they have three very grown–up children and four grandchildren.

Yola Middleton
 

TRUSTEE - TREASURER

Yola is currently a Primary School teacher, but previously served as an Officer in the Royal Air Force before settling in Lincolnshire with her husband and two children.  Yola is one our trustees and is also a trustee, governor and volunteer helper at one of the Joy Foundation schools.  Yola worships at St Michael and All Angels, Bassingham, with her family and is part of the Witham St Hughs’ Christian group which is working towards forming a strong Christian community within this new village.

Debbie Jolliff
 

TRUSTEE

Debbie is a solicitor and looks after the Companies House and Charity Commission formalities as well as other legal matters. She has been a parent governor and volunteer helper at one of The Joy Foundation schools. Debbie worships at St Swithin’s Church.

Cathryn Jones
 

TRUSTEE

Cathryn is a primary school teacher in Lincoln.  She attends Alive Church Lincoln with her husband and 2 children.  In her spare time (apart from being a chauffeur, cleaner, hairdresser, cook and chief bedroom tidier) she enjoys cooking for friends and eating cake.

Mike Farley

Mike is an experienced primary school teacher, church pastor and drama specialist. He is married to Liz and has three sons - Isaac, Joe and Toby.

Clare Moore

 

ADMINISTRATOR

Clare worships at St. George's, Swallowbeck with her husband and three children. As well as working behind-the-scenes at The Joy Foundation, she is a school governor and pre-school treasurer and would love for all children to hear about Jesus.

Andrew Duncan
 

TRUSTEE

Andrew has worked as a health care professional in the NHS for 37 years. He is a member of Alive Lincoln Central church. He began his children’s work volunteering by helping at Sunday school as a teenager. and then helping at summer camps, beach missions and youth events. In his spare time  he likes to take to the skies over Lincolnshire in a glider.  He also likes to eat Teresa’s baking!

Teresa Duncan

TRUSTEE

Teresa teaches horticulture at a special school in Lincoln. She has also volunteered in many roles working with children both in schools and at church.  Teresa  is excited to be part of a team that she first had involvement with when her  son benefitted from the early days of The Joy Foundation. Teresa is married to Andrew (also a trustee) and they attend Alive Lincoln  Central church. They have 3 grown up boys. In her spare time she  loves to willow weave and bake.

Janice Newsome
 

TRUSTEE

Janice is a retired secondary school teacher. She attends TCM church with her husband. At church she is involved in children's work and Ladies Ministry.  She enjoys looking after her grandchildren and getting into the outdoors as much as possible.

Neil Hunter

TRUSTEE

Neil worked in the charity sector for 15 years in various management roles and is currently a web designer and copywriter. He is a member of St. George's at Swallowbeck, is married to Michelle and they have a new kitten called Bungle.
