Prayer Update October 2026

The great news is that The Joy Foundation has continued to serve our local children. We have the privilege of being a valued part of life in these schools and we are thankful that they are open to hear our messages.

Please give thanks for:

·       We have started in a new school – Corringham – where we provide a full afternoon, once a month, of Collective Worship, support for their children with this and staff support.

·       We have just started our funding applications for the post of New Schoolsworker for summer 2027. An £11000 grant has just been given by The Benefact Trust and we are on the second stage of another big application

Please pray for:

·       Our Trainee Schoolsworker – Joe Farley. Joe is already doing a great job and taking on more responsibility, which allows Andy to start in new schools such as Corringham. Please pray that Joe knows God’s leading and help and that the children can see something of Jesus in how Joe is and what he brings to them.

·       Our ongoing funding and the new funds we need to raise for the New Schoolsworker. Schools are indicating that they would like more of The Joy Foundation’s support, so we need to resource this new post in order to meet this demand.

Thank you for your prayers for The Joy Foundation. Thank you too for those of you that have financially supported us by giving or arranging fundraising activities. All of this support is greatly appreciated.

Please also, come along, if you are able, to our Fundraising Quiz Saturday 21^st November, 7.30pm at St Columba’s. Please put this date in your diary and bring along a team if you can.
