We are at the end of a very busy half term for The Joy Foundation. We have led 50 Collective Worships already this year in our 24 different schools! Our prayer is that our support for these local schools help make a difference for children’s lives.
Our disappointing news is that we have been unsuccessful with our funding application to The John James Charitable Trust. This means that we have to seek other ways to fund our new part time Trainee Schoolsworker that we hope to appoint this year.
Please pray for;
· Continue to pray for the new trainee post. Pray for the right person to be appointed and for schools to be willing to partner TJF in this new development.
· Pray for funding of this and for our ongoing costs as we seek to find new sources of income.
· Pray for our Collective Worship into March. This is the time of year when we can focus on Jesus and the Easter story. Pray that what we present to schools is a Good News message
We have to continue to hold fundraising events to support our finances. Our next event is our Cake Sale on Saturday 28th March, 10-12am at St Columba’s, just off Brant Road. See the flier on the home page and please come along to support if you can. Or just come along for a chat!
