Prayer Update January 2026

Here is our first prayer update of 2026 and it is one with good developments for The Joy Foundation.

The Steering Group has decided to seek to appoint a part time Trainee Schoolsworker from Summer 2026 for a year. This will hopefully give TJF the opportunity to provide more input into local schools from a different perspective as well as giving a trainee the chance to explore their own calling. We already have interest, but we also need to explore new income sources to fund this and potentially an extension of this post. It is also important to ensure that schools are accepting of TJF using a trainee Schoolsworker.

We also have been successful in the preliminary stages of a significant grant for TJF that would help the above and our ongoing finances.

All schoolswork is back up and running with new opportunities in schools and already schools clearly feeding back to TJF the value of what we bring into children’s lives.

Please pray for;

·       The new trainee post. Pray for the right person to be appointed, for funding of this and for schools to be willing to partner TJF in this new development

·       The grant application is with the John James Charitable Fund. Pray that this application is granted in full.

·       Pray for the ongoing work in schools – that children continue to hear and respond to the positive, life enhancing messages that we bring.
