Prayer Update October 2025

This new school year has started very well, with us visiting all our 23 schools - leading Collective Worship in all of these, providing intervention support, running two new clubs and leading Collective Worship Councils in 3 schools.

We have also been approached by another school about providing regular Collective Worship and hope that the initial trial run we have works out for everybody so that we can provide ongoing support for them too.

Here are some prayer guidelines, but of course pray as you feel led for The Joy Foundation

·         Give thanks for the children and the schools that they belong to. Pray that are safe, learn well and flourish as God intends for them

·         Pray that what The Joy Foundation bring into schools is helpful, good and points them in someway towards the life that God has for them

·         Pray for our new school contact. Pray that a good relationship between The Joy Foundation, children and staff is quickly built and this develops into a longer term involvement.

Please also pray for Andy and our chair of trustees, Jonathan Billingham. They are embarking on a sponsored walk around Lincoln, raising funds for The Joy Foundation on Friday 3^rd October. They are walking 23 miles around Lincoln in support of the 23 schools. 23 miles for 23 schools. Finally a date for your diary. A few people have already been asking about our fundraising Quiz. The date for this is Saturday 29^th November. 7.30pm at St Columba’s Church, off Brant Road. Teams of up to 8, £5 per person. It will be a Quiz of The Year this time around.
